Built on Purpose. Designed for Change.
In 2009, we trace the roots of HRM — a story woven into the evolving fabric of Bangladesh’s garments industry. Since then, HRM has significantly reshaped its place in the rapidly growing textile landscape, playing a crucial role in driving a more responsible and innovative fashion ecosystem for a new era. But our story begins much earlier. Before Ripon established one of the leading textile sourcing houses in ethical and sustainable garment manufacturing — supplying high-quality, responsibly made apparel to global brands — he was learning the ropes of a fierce and fast-paced industry.
We’re talking about his early days as a rookie coordinator at New Fashions Limited, assisting his production manager and collecting inputs and outputs from the supply chain department. The youngest and most cherished in his family, Ripon was the only one who ventured into textiles. Unlike many traditional conglomerates that thrive on hereditary advantage, his journey was built purely on dedication, curiosity, and perseverance.
In 1996, he joined Nortons SPA’s liaison office as an assistant merchandiser, entrusted with sample development, cost analysis, and factory sourcing for European buyers. That’s where he began mastering the language of business, learning operational nuances, forecasting opportunities, and negotiating with suppliers. His relentless drive and curiosity soon became the foundation of something bigger. Taking a leap of faith, Ripon co-founded GRS Sourcing Ltd., using his experience to start a new kind of sourcing house. It wasn’t all smooth sailing — challenges came fast, but each one shaped his understanding of how to build a business that was both nimble and human. When his partners eventually disbanded, Ripon didn’t give up. Instead, he decided to go all in. He reimagined the company from the ground up, naming it after the initials of his children and family — HRM Sourcing — a brand born from heart and heritage.
Two decades later, HRM Sourcing Ltd. stands as one of the strongest and most respected sourcing hubs in Bangladesh — providing services to clients across the UK, USA, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Italy, and beyond. From Flat Knit, Circular Knit, Woven, to Denim, HRM offers end-to-end solutions for brands around the globe — simplifying the journey of scaling and developing fashion labels through a trusted, transparent supply chain.

RAYHAN KABIR
Major-league auto aficionado and a people-connector. He joined his family business in 2023 after completing his undergraduate in Business from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Ghaji Mahbub
Knicks fan, tech enthusiast, and admirer of Japanese selvedge. He majored in Computer Science at Hunter College and co-founded HRM Textiles with Rayhan in 2024.
Fast-forward to today — HRM’s narrative continues through a new generation. In 2024, two cousins, Rayhan Kabir and Ghaji Mahbub, driven by their shared love for automobiles and music, reignited the HRM legacy. At the time, Rayhan was restoring a 1998 Nissan Patrol, while Ghaji was printing vintage cars and hip-hop artists on stone-washed blanks for his college clubs. One morning, their ideas collided — and what started as a conversation turned into a dream.
With guidance from their family — pioneers in garment manufacturing — they built a bridge between global retailers and responsible manufacturers across Bangladesh, India, and Turkey. Today, HRM reflects not just a family’s journey, but a movement that blends craftsmanship, culture, and connection.
HRM is committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration with our partners to drive meaningful change in the fashion industry. We have focused on creating high-quality fashion products while ensuring the fair treatment of workers and minimizing environmental impact. Adhering to the code of ethics of social impact, we at HRM launched the initiative FAIR4ALL. This is not ‘lip service’ but rather a matter close to heart. There are people in need of help all over the world and of all ages. Children are particularly important to us at HRM. The donations are used to improve the facilities of an orphanage, where around 155 children and 55 older people currently live, as well as regards to their care, food and education. As part of the FAIR4ALL social funding project, 0.10 euros are donated directly to an orphanage in Bangladesh for every product that we sell. That's more leverage than you might think in this country, because 10 cents is a much larger amount locally than in Europe.
At HRM we are doing what we can to provide the children in Bangladesh a better future. In this way, we offer products of the highest quality that are manufactured in an absolutely fair, environmentally conscious manner and without harmful substances — and are therefore not only inexpensive, but also worth their price. Together, these ventures represent a holistic approach to fashion, technology, and social impact, ensuring long-term, meaningful change in the industry.
